SolarWinds and FireEye Security Exposure: A Note to Alias Clients

Alias was not directly impacted by the recent attack or exposures disclosed by FireEye on December 8, 2020. We do not utilize SolarWinds as part of our internal infrastructure and have maintained the integrity of our systems, services, data, and most importantly, our client’s data.

We’re here to reassure you that your environment is secure and unimpacted. If you were compromised, we can help with response and forensic analysis. We’ve deployed updated detection rules within our intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems, so our monitoring clients have immediate detection of possible exposure or breach. Additionally, we developed a quick-deploy for new clients that would like their environment to be monitored in increments of 30-days for these specific exploits. We also offer thorough security assessments to identify possible exposure in addition to being able to provide full forensic imaging and investigations.

These mitigation and detection techniques align with the US government’s recommendations and are considered best practices in response to these hacking events. If you have an exposed version of SolarWinds Orion or FireEye in your infrastructure and want some peace of mind, contact us. Know that our security and data integrity remains intact, and we offer the full spectrum of services to bring the same level of assurance to you! Call us at 405-261-9517 or email [email protected].
